Omschrijving:
The plaice (Pleuronectus platessa) is a flat diamond-shaped fish that with the flounder and dab belongs to the plaice-like fish, which in their turn are part of the flatfish. The skin of the plaice is greenish brown on the right and has orange dots. On the left side (the blind side) the plaice is white. Plaice is a very popular consumption fish: attractively priced, easy to prepare, very tasteful and not greasy. Also look at added value for breaded or pre-fried plaice fillet!
